Edible Garden

There is quite a lot of interest in the Edible Garden on a  Friday afternoon. Last, week some of the big kids gathered up compost from the chook run , whilst the others weeded and got the soil ready for the seedlings.
We made good use of the tyres for raised beds using them at the end of the garden. Before we put soil inside the tyres, we laid down cardboard to suppress the weeds coming from underneath. It is an excellent way to get rid of the masses of cardboard that come through the school.

District Cross Country

Addalisha, Sean and Nelly represented Granity School at the District Cross Country in Kumara last week. The event brought together schools from South Westland to the Northern Buller. It was an exciting , but nervous time for these students who were experiencing inter-school competition. We are extremely proud of your determination and effort on the day. Tino pai rawa atu!
